No. In fact, many authors build their website before publication so they can start growing their audience and mailing list ahead of launch. We can create a "coming soon" page for your debut book, with an author bio, newsletter sign-up, and pre-order links ready to go.
We'll ask for a style direction questionnaire, your existing headshots or photos, your book covers (or access to them), your bio, and any websites you like the look of. If you don't have professional headshots, we can advise on affordable options or work with what you have.
